Custom design for an iconic optical shop
Alchivista is a cutting-edge optical concept store located in Bologna, created to offer an unconventional take on eyewear through a selection of independent and cutting-edge brands. Its location in the historic center represents a break with the industry's traditional aesthetic, focusing on a strong visual identity that blends art, design, and functionality.
The furnishings, designed by architect Andrea Trebbi and custom-made by AFA Arredamenti, stand out for their coherent and distinctive formal language. The rounded lines, inspired by the world of eyewear, become the common thread throughout the space: from the entrance door handles to the backlit wall displays, including the display totems and the checkout counter.
Particular attention was paid to the functionality and visual perception of the product. The displays enhance each frame, transforming it into a centerpiece, while the light-colored wood cabinets contribute to an elegant and welcoming material balance.
The result is a distinctive and recognizable space, where every detail is designed to offer an immersive experience, consistent with the brand's identity and the historical context that hosts it.
